Printing, Scanning & Photocopying

Note: To configure your own device, please see: Laptop Printing

Printing Guidelines

Printing is expensive. Please use the printers conservatively.

In particular:

  • Do not print something unless you really need it in hard copy form
  • Preview online before printing
  • Proofread as much as possible before you print out drafts
  • Print in black&white unless you really need colour

Note: Colour pages cost nearly ten times as much as black&white.

The Print Spooling System

All files to be printed go into a central spooling system and jobs are printed out first-come, first-served.

Printer locations

The printer for general use is located outside room M12 on the mezzanine floor. There are separate queues for B&W and colour.

Scanning & Photocopying
